Coastal Shield is Sussex County’s trusted source for ceramic coatings, graphene protection, and professional detailing. Formerly known as Bavaria Mobile Autowäsche, we relocated to Lewes, Delaware to better serve homeowners and vehicle owners across Sussex County and the surrounding beach communities.

We provide premium protection for both home surfaces and vehicles — from luxury kitchens and leather furnishings to high-end cars and marine vessels. Every surface is treated with the same care, precision, and attention to detail we would give our own.

For homes, we apply ceramic protection to appliances, cabinetry, leather, glass, countertops, and bathroom fixtures. For vehicles, we install advanced graphene and ceramic coatings that help defend against UV exposure, swirl marks, salt air, and road grime in the coastal Delaware climate.

Our Story

Bavaria Mobile Autowäsche was founded in 2020 by John Stonemetz, a lifelong car enthusiast with more than 30 years of detailing experience. After working with brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, and BMW, John built the company around a simple philosophy: “Obsess over the details, or don’t do it at all.”

What began as a small mobile detailing service during the COVID-19 pandemic quickly grew into a respected ceramic coating and surface protection company known for quality workmanship across Sussex County.
